Vitamin D is generally absorbed through the skin from the sun therefore in autumn and winter month we need to ensure we increase absorption from our diets or supplements / injections.

Legally you can have anti-wrinkle injections from the age of 18 however, the face doesn’t show signs of aging until late 20s so you might be wasting your money by having them too early.

You will start to notice a difference after a 3-7 days, however it will take up to 14 days for the full effect.

Everyone is different so it is difficult to put an exact time on this however, typically each treatment will last around 3-4 months.

  • Be honest with your practitioner about your medical history and current status
  • Try to avoid or keep alcohol to a minimum for 24 hours prior to treatment
  • Where possible avoid NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications such as aspirin, blood thinner medication, Ibuprofen etc)
  • Avoid chemical peels or facials
  • Remove make up
  • Ultimately, do your research and ask questions
  • Drink plenty of water and avoid make up
  • Keep your head upright for 4 hours (including not looking down at your phone)
  • Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours
  • Avoid exercise, saunas, steams or anything that makes you hot/sweaty for 24 hours
  • Avoid touching or pressing the areas
  • No facials, peels or other treatments for up to 2 weeks

Side effects can affect anyone and generally appear within the first week after treatment. In most cases they will correct themselves over time, 2 days to 6 weeks depending on the side effect. The most common side effects are mild soreness, swelling and bruising these will clear within a few days.
